Watch this Let’s Play video I found just recently of one of the first games I worked on at High Voltage.

The Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun is an action/puzzle platformer game for Wii, PS2, and PSP.  I was delighted to find someone just made a new Let’s Play video series of the game.  This video shows the Jungle Ruins level: a level which I designed.

I had a lot of fun designing how each of the five Cryptids (monsters) in this level would behave, and then arranging them to interact in interesting combinations.  An additional challenge was crafting fun platforming gameplay after the hero, Zak, loses his Claw grappling hook halfway through the level.  Camera work was easier on later projects – it’s the biggest thing I would’ve liked to improve.
